After a long year of teaching at Rusk Middle School in Dallas, Josh has accepted a job as the art teacher and Freshman Football coach at Midlothian High School in Midlothian, Texas. It's a small town of 18,000 people about 25 miles southwest of Dallas. Growing up as a city girl with everything at my fingertips this is going to be a challenge for me! There is no Target or Hobby Lobby down the street for me to stop at everyday (or so it seems!) It's going to be quite the change for us, but it's not far from the surrounding cities and downtown Dallas and still close to all our friends and family. Small town football in Texas will be our life for the next few months - I guess it's time to channel our inner "Varsity Blues"! We are so excited for the new adventure and looking forward to getting out there and cheering on the Panthers!
We've been living with my mom since April awaiting a new job for Josh. So now our house hunt begins as soon as we figure out when we're moving! I'm sure mom will be happy when we're out on our own again - she just can't seem to get rid of me!
In the last few months we've been super busy - Since we moved in April we have barely had a weekend to ourselves! Josh is graduating at the end of the summer with his Master's from Ohio University so with his school work finished we celebrated a few months earlier while we could. We also celebrated our nephew Tiger's 6th birthday, Kingston's (our puppy) 2nd birthday, numerous bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and 2 weddings! Since I've been awful at updating this blog lately here are some recent pictures of the past few months.
